Staying safe online while using your iPhone and iPad

In this session, Samantha Nerrie will talk about various fundamentals, including:

• Safe passwords.
• Avoiding Scams and tricks.
• Understanding how to browse more safely.
• Choosing safe browsers.

In order to help others stay secure online, please share your experience if you have recently been the victim of a scam or if you have recently received any scam texts or emails.

7 PASSWORD TIPS:

1. Never share your password.
2. Change your password on a regular basis.
3. Create a strong and easy-to-remember password.
4. Use a mix of Symbols, Numbers and Capital Letters.
5. Don’t let your browser remember your log on details.
6. Never Use Obvious Words or Numbers for Passwords.
7. Use a different password to the one you use for other services.

Prevention is the best protection! Never give out your credit card details or click on a link that you are unsure of.

NOTE: You will need to have a Apple account and your password to be able to access your account on the day.

The courses are free and available to seniors 50 and over. Bookings are essential, as numbers will be limited.
